Old

Testament

The Old Testament forms the foundation of Scripture—revealing God’s creation, covenant, law, promises, and dealings with His people. It prepares the way for the Messiah and provides the theological structure upon which the New Testament stands.

Minor Prophets

Hosea

Joel calls God’s people to repentance in light of judgment and promises future restoration. It points to God’s outpouring of His Spirit and coming salvation.

Amos

Amos confronts social injustice and religious hypocrisy. It emphasizes God’s demand for righteousness, justice, and sincere worship.                              

Obadiah

Obadiah declares judgment against Edom for pride and violence. It affirms God’s justice and sovereignty over nations.

Jonah

Jonah reveals God’s compassion toward all people. It challenges narrow nationalism and highlights God’s desire for repentance and mercy.

Micah

Micah proclaims judgment and hope, emphasizing justice, mercy, and humility before God. It points to a future ruler from Bethlehem.

Nahum

Nahum announces God’s judgment against Nineveh. It affirms God’s justice and His defense of the oppressed.                                                 

Habakkuk

Habakkuk wrestles with questions of justice and suffering. It calls God’s people to live by faith, trusting God’s sovereign purposes.

Zephaniah

Zephaniah warns of coming judgment while offering hope of restoration. It emphasizes God’s sovereignty and His delight in a purified people.

Haggai

Haggai urges God’s people to prioritize rebuilding the temple. It highlights obedience and renewed commitment to God’s work.                                                     

Zechariah

Zechariah presents visions of restoration, renewal, and future hope. It points to the coming King and God’s redemptive plan.                                                  

Malachi

Malachi confronts spiritual complacency and calls for renewed faithfulness. It prepares the way for the coming Messiah and God’s redemptive work.
