The Old Testament forms the foundation of Scripture—revealing God’s creation, covenant, law, promises, and dealings with His people. It prepares the way for the Messiah and provides the theological structure upon which the New Testament stands.

Major Prophets

The Major Prophets proclaim God’s holiness, judgment, and redemptive purpose on a large historical scale. They confront sin, call for repentance, and reveal God’s promise of restoration and a coming Messiah.

Isaiah

Isaiah proclaims God’s holiness, judgment, and salvation. It reveals the promise of a coming Messiah and God’s plan to redeem and restore His people.                                

Jeremiah

Jeremiah records God’s warnings, judgments, and promises during Judah’s decline. It highlights God’s faithfulness and the promise of a new covenant despite persistent rebellion.

Lamentations

Lamentations expresses grief over Jerusalem’s destruction while affirming God’s mercy and faithfulness. It models honest lament and hope amid suffering.

Ezekiel

Ezekiel reveals God’s glory, judgment, and promise of restoration. It emphasizes God’s sovereignty and His plan to renew His people with a new heart and spirit.

Daniel

Daniel demonstrates God’s sovereignty over nations and history. It calls God’s people to faithfulness amid exile and reveals God’s ultimate kingdom.
